Introduction

7 years ago we had the privilege of being chosen to build the first Garrigues offices, with a successful result in Bogotá, and later in the city of Lima, Peru.
After 2 years of development, and guided by its architecture team located in Madrid, the project was carried out in the same building, with the idea of moving the meeting room area for clients to an elevated floor, taking advantage of a better view, and natural light, leaving space on lower floors for the growth of more offices for partners, associates and open workstations. The premise of the project was to maintain high standards of visual and acoustic privacy, for which the architectural layout of the rooms was designed based on the confidentiality and well-being of Garrigues clients.
Regarding the look, the architectural standards defined at a global level were maintained, and the Madrid team requested to give relevance to the reception, with an innovative and eye-catching design. Our idea was to create a sophisticated yet cozy look. We achieve this by taking advantage of natural light, managing different materials on floors and walls to give versatility to the space. We combined marble-type pocelain floors and carpets of different references. We designed an angular counter in Corian, complementing the environment with large-format wood-type veneers on the main wall. The final touch was given by the coexistence of two sculptural pieces with natural plants, which gave life and freshness to the space.

Introduction

This international consulting firm decided to open its new regional office in Bogota. The premise for the interior design was to have a spacious, modern, and elemental workplace, with good acoustic management that fostered user concentration and privacy. With a capacity for 20 to 25 people, the layout was achieved by separating open positions from private offices, versatile areas for meetings and training room for team reunions, meeting rooms for clients/visitors, and, finally, in the heart of the space, the service area merged with the collaboration area -made up of different types of furniture- turning into the protagonist of the office.

Formally, some architectural elements such as floors, custom light fixtures and graphics was complemented with ergonomic furniture were based on the curved and organic shapes of the logo and the Brandbook, providing a cozy look that invited to permanence. Regarding materials and colors, a contrast was chosen between elements in light wood with concrete-type floors and metal profiles on vertical partitions. Warm colors prevail in the space, contrasted with the brand's blue tones and orange accents to create focal points with natural plants that brought green and life to the entire office!

Introduction

This flagship project for this Insurance, Risk Management and Consulting company lasted two years in the making. After a thorough space consultancy, and reviewing various location and area alternatives, the company's executives decided to remain in the current building, reorganizing the space in its entirety. On this occasion, we had to do the entire renovation of the Executive area, where the CEO's office was located, as well as the main Boardroom.

The Design determinants for this space were: spaciousness, lighting, privacy, technology, and art. The spaciousness: we wanted to give a great first impression, for which the Lobby had a generous design, with high ceilings, and cozy feeling, thanks to the color pallete, textures, and biophilia (vegetation). Lighting and technology: The Boardroom, with a maximum capacity of 30 people, located at the large meeting table, and complemented by a grandstand, was the main space of this office. We wanted to take advantage of the large window, overlooking the eastern hills, to access natural light and a private balcony. Audiovisual technology of the highest standards was implemented to hold face-to-face and virtual meetings.

Privacy was also a premise of this space, which is why materials were selected for the walls, ceilings, and partitions/doors, which provide acoustic comfort and maintain the privacy and independence of the spaces. And finally, we highlight impressive pieces of modern art, in different formats, color schemes and textures, which give each space personality and energy.

Introduction

We designed and built our new offices, seeking to have an inspiring, functional and welcoming space, optimizing each of the tasks that we carry out with the team: open area benching system for individual work, a private office for concentration work, a central collaborative area, and a spacious meeting room for our internal meetings, commercial presentations to clients and receive our suppliers.

As a design concept, we were inspired by the orthogonality of our symbol logo, "the square", with the versatility of the brand, creating patterns or textures on floors, walls and ceilings, contrasted with organic decorative elements, and vibrant colors that generate harmony. visual.

In materials, we used modular carpet in the work areas, together with exsound ceilings to help with acoustic comfort. The glass partitions with an internal air chamber and special fittings allow privacy when the spaces are closed/independent, as well as the passage of natural light into the space.

Per the furniture, we choose surface finishes and structures in neutral colors such as white, and shades of gray/taupe, complemented with elements in light wood, textiles (cotton, mesh, and leather) to give texture and warmth to the space.

For the graphic image, we chose to place the logo in the central/focal point of the office, and some raised texts with an inspiring message on a blue wall, complemented by wooden slats that give dynamics to the walls.

The presence of biophilia: natural plants of different heights, give life and bright, green color to the space, generating a feeling of well-being.

Introduction

For this project, located in the industrial area of Cota, in the outskirts of Bogotá, the challenge consisted of designing a functional, pleasant workspace with the graphic presence of the values of the different brands. This project began with the idea of designing and building a work space where employees could be close to the day-to-day operation, understanding and solving first-hand the needs of their business.

To achieve this, a substructure was designed inside one of the warehouses: an office area of 1,800 m2, with differential and adequate spaces to be occupied during the day in different functions and tasks: open and closed collaboration areas, meeting rooms of different sizes and distributions, open area workstations, private offices. The design also featured a large cafeteria space, which can be used not only during lunch hours but also as collaborative spaces for team meetings. As an innovative place, an experimental kitchen + laboratory was designed, to test products and perform on site and virtual brand experiences, together with clients, allies and team members.

In our opinion, it was a successful project, where working hand in hand with our client and allied suppliers, we designed and built a space that recovers the tradition of the past and through new forms of collaboration and innovation, will allow to strengthen the future of this traditional industrial company in Colombia. and it will become a Milestone in its new history.

Introduction

We have been allies of AON for almost 10 years, and in this new opportunity, the turn was for the Cali project: to design and build their brand new offices in the CCI Occidente Tower.

In this project, the aim was to create a clean layout, creating a large modern-look welcoming lobby. The floorplan was symmetrically divided: on the right side, collaboration, wellbeing and meeting areas for clients and commercial purposes, and on the left side, all the open areas for staff and collaborators. Per graphic aspects, together with the marketing area, focal points were defined, texts and images on walls, with corporate values and the new AON brand were selected. The materials used were rich in textures such as wood and concrete on the floors, carpet in the work area for acoustic comfort, contrasted with vertical elements in black profiles and clear glass partitions, to allow natural light to enter all spaces, open ceilings to give amplitude and an industrial style according to the architecture of the building. The lighting was one of the protagonists of the project, framing each work area with a particular shape.

The purpose of the space was to create an environment with a modern, vibrant, and at the same time welcoming character, which would invite collaboration, and make it pleasant for everyone to return to work in the post-pandemic office.

It was a pleasure for us to have worked on this project hand in hand with the AON team, and the result was spectacular! I think its slogan is worth highlighting: WORKING TOGETHER IS BETTER!

“They worked as a team together with us, in order to be fully coordinated; solutions were sought for unexpected situations, and the project was even delivered ahead of time, something that usually never happens on a construction site! We chose the right firm we needed for the job!!! Thank you very much for the work of the entire Figamma team who really excelled with this project!!!!"

Introduction

In association with CREA MANAGEMENT, we submitted to the tender for the Design and Project Management of the new offices of the European Union in Bogota. During the design process, we had the opportunity to meet with the different delegates: with guidance from Brussels, in sync with the local delegates from the administrative area, communications, and the HOD (Head Of Delegation of Colombia) herself, we had the pleasure of explore our limitless creativity, with the premise of meeting international quality standards, high technical specifications and rigorous safety.

We enjoyed the whole design process: architecturally, we were inspired by the EU Flag as a graphic element: through the formal decomposition of the Star as a representative element, patterns, grids and textures with diagonal lines and intersections were created, which were applied to the different architectural spaces such as floors, walls, ceilings. A neutral color palette was created, with accents of the colors of the flag: blue and yellow. For the setting, we developed graphic pieces and images inspired by architectural monuments of the different delegations worldwide, a photographs collage was developed for the main circulation areas, and linear graphic pieces in the Frost of the windows of private offices.

It was a very challenging project from the point of view of international and local coordination of various professionals, since having completed our Design part, as a team with the administrative delegates, we assembled a detailed reference document for the Construction tender. Finally, a construction firm was selected to build our design, and for two years, including the start of the pandemic, we were able to successfully conclude this project, which became a benchmark in look and feel for Latin American delegations.
